NISWASS students got second prize in the State Level Parade competition held on 26th January, 2012.

Mr. Alok Albert Soreng of the department of Rural Management and Gandhian Studies secured the First Position with First Class in the M.A examination studnt_achvunder the Utkal University of Culture.The Hockey team of NISWASS won the Runners Cup in the Inter College Hockey Match at Raghunathjew College, Cuttack. Seven students from the team were selected for the Inter University Match to be played at Madhya Pradesh.The Volley team of NISWASS won the Zonal Volley Ball Match at Jatni, Khordha and played the Inter University Match. Mr.Sagar Kumar Patra, a student of BSW third year, participated in the National Level Grand Parade at New Delhi on 26th January 2013.Mr. Sagar Kumar Patra, Mr. Jobkimson Pradhan & Ms. Saraswati Majhi, the NSS volunteers and students of NISWASS, participated in the Pre-Republic Day Parade Camp at Guwahati, Assam.Ms. Rajalaxmi Behera & Mr. Elam Bag, the students of MSW second year, participated in the Youth Adventure Camp at Manali, Himachal Pradesh.Mr. Sagar Kumar Patra and Mr. Jobkimson Pradhan attended the Entrepreneurship Development Programme organised by the Vocational Training Centre, NISWASS.Ms. Saswati Jena and Bijay Kumar Hembrum, the students of MRM second year completed one month Internship programme on Youth Development at Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Tamilnadu.Mr. Imran Ali, a former student of the Institute, received the best NSS volunteer award for the year 2010.
